Job Title - Ocean Freight Forwarding Manager
Salary - Up to 180,000 (depending on experience)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Ocean Freight Forwarding Manager to lead and manage ocean freight operations, ensuring efficient shipment handling, cost control, and high customer satisfaction. The role requires strong knowledge of international shipping, carrier negotiations, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end ocean freight forwarding operations (FCL & LCL)
- Coordinate with shipping lines, agents, ports, and customs brokers
- Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers and vendors
- Ensure timely and cost-effective movement of cargo
- Oversee documentation including BLs, invoices, and shipping instructions
- Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve operational issues
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company SOPs
- Lead, train, and supervise the ocean freight operations team
- Prepare operational reports, KPIs, and performance analysis
- Support sales teams with pricing, routing, and technical expertise
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
- 8 years plus of experience in ocean freight forwarding operations
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and Incoterms
- Experience handling FCL, LCL, import & export shipments
- Proficiency in freight forwarding systems and MS Office
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹180,000.00 per month
