Position: Fitter
Department: Civil Construction / Projects
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, and fit structural steel components as per approved drawings.
- Fabricate and erect steel structures, supports, handrails, ladders, and platforms.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications.
- Carry out cutting, drilling, grinding, and fitting activities at the project site.
- Align and secure structural members using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Assist in the installation of pipes, tanks, frames, and other fabricated components.
- Inspect fitted components and ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors for daily work execution.
- Ensure all fitting works are completed within project timelines.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
- Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE during all activities.
- Report material shortages, equipment issues, and site concerns to the supervisor.
- Assist in repair, maintenance, and modification of existing structures when required.
- Ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
- Support other construction activities as directed by the site management team.
Qualification:
- ITI Fitter / Diploma in Mechanical or relevant trade.
- 1–5 years of experience in civil construction, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
