About the Role
We are looking for a talented and detail oriented Video Editor specialising in long-form content to join our remote-first creative team. In this role, you will own the end-to-end post-production workflow from assembly cuts through to final delivery for podcasts, documentaries, educational series, branded films, and other long-form digital content. You will collaborate closely with directors and content strategists to craft compelling narratives that engage audiences and drive measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit long-form video content 10+ minutes, including YouTube videos, online courses, and brand films, with a strong narrative sensibility.
- Perform multi-camera assembly edits, pacing adjustments, colour grading, audio mixing, and motion graphics integration.
- Collaborate with the creative team on story structure, shot selection, and visual flow to ensure content meets creative briefs.
- Create engaging short-form cuts (Reels, YouTube Shorts, and clips) derived from long-form source material for cross-platform distribution.
- Manage media ingestion, project organisation, proxy workflows, and archiving on cloud-based asset management systems.
- Incorporate stakeholder feedback efficiently through iterative revision cycles whilst maintaining version control.
- Add and sync captions/subtitles, lower thirds, text overlays, and branded templates in line with our style guides.
- Ensure all deliverables meet platform-specific technical requirements (YouTube, OTT, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Maintain turnaround timelines and communicate proactively on deadlines within a remote, async-first environment.
- Stay current with editing trends, tools, and best practices in long-form digital content production.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of professional video editing experience.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (mandatory).
- Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and animations.
- Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, composition, and audience retention.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a remote environment.
- Excellent communication and time-management skills.
- A portfolio or showreel demonstrating long-form YouTube or similar video editing work (mandatory).
