We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Stenographer for our law firm. The candidate will be responsible for providing stenographic, secretarial, and administrative support to advocates and legal professionals
Key Responsibilities: Taking dictation and transcribing legal documents accurately and efficiently. Drafting, typing, and formatting petitions, affidavits, notices, applications, legal opinions, and correspondence. Managing case files, legal records, and documentation. Coordinating with advocates, clients, courts, and government offices. Maintaining diaries, schedules, and hearing dates. Filing and organizing physical and electronic records. Ensuring confidentiality of all legal and client-related information. Assisting advocates in day-to-day office operations.
Required Skills: Excellent English typing speed and shorthand skills. Experience in legal drafting and court-related documentation. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PDF editing, and email correspondence. Knowledge of court procedures and legal terminology. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
