Hands-on manufacturing supervisor responsible end-to-end oversight of modular skid/CDU fabrication, ensuring schedule adherence, constructability, and execution efficiency at vendor shops. Acts as TEI’s on-site representative to drive fabrication progress and coordination.
Essential Responsibilities:

Fabrication Oversight: Monitor complete skid fabrication (structural, piping, mechanical, E&IC integration) to ensure alignment with drawings, BOM, and fabrication sequence

Schedule Control: Track progress vs. plan and drive adherence to fabrication schedules, proactively addressing delays and bottlenecks

Vendor Coordination: Act as primary interface with fabricators, ensuring execution readiness (materials, manpower, tools)

Expediting: Coordinate with suppliers to expedite critical materials and long-lead items

Shop-Floor Leadership: Serve as TEI’s on-site representative, providing updates on progress, risks, and issues

Constructability Input: Identify and resolve manufacturability and assembly issues; support design-for-manufacturing improvements

Execution Focus: Focus on fabrication methodology, sequencing, and efficiency (non-QC role)
Requirements
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/production engineering from a four-year college or university.

10–15+ years in fabrication/manufacturing of modular skids, packaged equipment, or HVAC systems

Strong understanding of structural fabrication, piping, mechanical assembly, and basic E&IC integration

Proven experience with fabrication shops/vendors

Ability to work in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment with tight deadlines.
Preferred Background:

Data center cooling systems (CDU, CRAC, AHU)

Experience with Skid fabricators such as SISCO, ENPRO, Vertiv, STULZ
