Role - Instructor
Responsibilities:
1) To spark Curiosity, Creativity & Humanity.
2) Be energetic and enthusiastic in every session and pass the same to students.
3) To conduct sessions in line with Agastya’s pedagogy that is Hands on, allowing child to explore and ask questions.
4) Be well versed with models / Concepts of his/her department and also know maintenance and minor repairs of models.
5) To facilitate students learning individually or in groups.
6) To make sure students understand the concepts very well rather than just finishing the concept/Model.
7) To learn, keeping all reports and documents updated.
8) To maintain cordial relationship with teachers and school heads who accompany during students visit.
9) To prepare bimonthly class plans and submit well in advance to In charge.
10) To be a team player.
1) He/ She should conduct 2 sessions every day (Activity based).
a. Be prepared with lesson plans and required materials/models.
b. Summarize the learning’s after end of each session and leave students with curios pointers to explore themselves.
c. Instructor to spend couple of minutes to analyze did his class cover A1, A2, A3 and mention the same in daily record book.
2) Keep Individual daily record book updated and get signed weekly by In- charge.
3) Instructor to engage in:
a. Researching answers to questions posed by children/ teachers
b. Identifying interesting community projects for summer and winter camps
c. Current news in STEAM
d. Interesting pedagogical approaches (could be as simple as a way to arrange children in order) or an interesting role-play activity
e. Identifying new charts to display/new ways of arranging the classroom/improving look and feel of Program.
f. Create monthly 2 innovative low-cost models
4) Generate list of requirements weekly and get the approval by the In charge well in advance.
5) Deliver 45 minutes of presentation bimonthly to the team on new innovations, happenings in science and education etc.
6) Keep inventory and stock of the concerned department and get signed by In charge bimonthly.
7) They should plan activities for the Summer/winter Camps
Extra:
● Instructor should know deliverables
● FAQ to deal with different customers
● Instructor should have plan B
● He should know scientific vocabulary and teach using scientific terms and proper scientific and digital terminologies/ definitions.
● He should connect his teaching to real life applications
● Taking time to reflect.
● Baseline survey of school
● Donor relation and MOU copy to be understand
● Community visit plan
● Check list
● Follow up feedback from teachers after few days. (Telephonic ideally)
● Adding extra activities or models recommended by school teachers according to curriculum (reviewed by academic committee)
Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
