Job Summary
The person will manage and oversee the procurement of essential factory supplies, including spares, consumables (oil, lubricants), MRO (Machine Repair & Operations), tools, safety items, and general purchases. The ideal candidate should have strong negotiation skills, technical knowledge of engineering materials and equipment and the ability to develop reliable supplier relationships to ensure uninterrupted factory operations
Key Deliverables
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for factory requirements such as spares, consumables, MRO, tools, and safety equipment
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors. Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of materials. Conduct supplier audits and assessments for quality assurance
- Maintain optimal stock levels of critical spares and consumables to prevent production downtime.
- Issue RFQs (Request for Quotations), evaluate quotations, and negotiate contracts with vendors
- Ensure purchased items meet required specifications and quality standards. Handle discrepancies, rejections, returns with suppliers
Qualification : Engineering /Diploma
