Freight Broker
Job Summary
A Freight Broker connects shippers with carriers to arrange the transportation of goods. They negotiate freight rates, coordinate shipments, track deliveries, and ensure freight reaches its destination safely and on time while maintaining strong relationships with customers and carriers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new shipping customers and carrier partners.
- Match available freight with qualified carriers.
- Negotiate competitive freight rates and contracts.
- Coordinate pickup, transit, and delivery schedules.
- Track shipments and provide real-time updates to customers.
- Resolve transportation issues, delays, or claims.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with transportation laws and industry regulations.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with shippers and carriers.
- Meet sales and profitability targets.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Experience in freight brokerage, logistics, transportation, or sales is preferred.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), load boards, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and solve problems effectively.

Work Environment

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
