Role Overview:
To generate rental business for dewatering pumps and manage the complete rental sales cycle, and ensure timely payment collection from customers as per agreed terms.
Key Responsibilities
1. Rental Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop rental opportunities for dewatering pumps and systems.
- Handle inquiries from contractors, EPC companies, and project sites.
- Prepare and submit rental quotations, technical offers, and commercial proposals in CRM.
- Negotiate rental terms, duration, and commercial conditions with customers.
- Convert enquiries into confirmed rental orders / work orders.
2. Customer Coordination
- Coordinate with customers for site visit, scope finalization, and mobilization planning.
- Act as the single point of contact for customers during the rental period.
- Maintain strong relationships to ensure repeat rental business.
3. Order Processing & Documentation
- Ensure timely receipt of work order / LoI from customers.
- Coordinate with internal execution and logistics teams for material deployment.
- Ensure all rental orders are properly entered and tracked in CRM/SAP systems.
4. Payment Follow-Up (Key Responsibility)
- Ensure collections are completed within agreed credit terms.
- Escalate payment delays to the reporting manager as required.
- Maintain updated records of outstanding, receivables, and payment status.
5. Coordination with Internal Teams
- Work closely with execution/operations team to ensure customer satisfaction on site.
- Coordinate with service and maintenance teams for uninterrupted pump operation.
- Align rental availability and future bookings with execution team.
6. Reporting & MIS
Prepare and submit:
- Daily/weekly rental sales activity reports
- Outstanding & payment follow-up reports
- Customer visit and enquiry status reports
Track KPIs such as:
- Rental revenue o Order conversion ratio
- Collection efficiency
- Repeat customer business
Key Skills & Competencies
- Experience in rental equipment sales (preferably pumps / construction equipment)
- Strong negotiation & customer handling skills.
- Excellent follow-up skills for timely payment collection.
- Basic understanding of dewatering systems and pump applications Comfortable with SAP / Excel / CRM usage Good communication skills (email, phone, site interaction)
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma / Graduate (Engineering or Commercial preferred)
- 2–6 years’ experience in rental sales or industrial equipment sales
- Experience with contractors / infrastructure projects will be an advantage
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
