Key Responsibilities
Patient Registration & Reception
- Welcome patients, attendants, and visitors courteously.
- Register new patients and update existing patient records.
- Verify patient details and maintain accurate registration data.
- Issue patient identification numbers and registration forms.
Appointment Management
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments for consultants.
- Coordinate with doctors and departments regarding appointment availability.
- Inform patients about consultation timings and hospital procedures.
Patient Assistance
- Guide patients and visitors to appropriate departments.
- Respond to patient inquiries in person and over the phone.
- Assist patients with admission and discharge-related formalities.
Billing & Documentation Support
- Coordinate with billing department for patient payments.
- Ensure completion of required registration and admission documents.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and records.
Telephone & Communication Management
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls professionally.
- Transfer calls to concerned departments.
- Record and relay messages accurately.
Customer Service
- Address patient concerns and escalate complaints to the concerned authority.
- Maintain professional behavior and positive patient relations.
- Ensure patient satisfaction through prompt service.
Record Maintenance
- Maintain front desk registers and daily reports.
- Update appointment logs and patient records.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of records.
Coordination
- Coordinate with OPD, IPD, Billing, Nursing, and other departments.
- Assist in smooth patient flow and hospital operations.
- Support hospital events, camps, and promotional activities when required.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer service orientation.
- Computer proficiency (MS Office, Hospital Management Software).
- Telephone etiquette.
- Ability to handle patients calmly and professionally.
- Good organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Educational Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Additional certification in Front Office Management or Hospital Administration preferred.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in hospital front office/reception.
- Freshers with good communication skills may also be considered.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
