Telecaller is responsible for communicating with patients and potential patients over the phone, helping them with appointments, enquiries, follow-ups, and hospital services.
Key Responsibilities
- Make and receive calls from patients and attendants.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm doctor appointments.
- Explain hospital services, departments, doctors, and available facilities.
- Follow up with patients regarding appointments, tests, consultations, and treatments.
- Handle patient enquiries and provide accurate information.
- Make reminder calls for appointments and diagnostic tests.
- Maintain patient call records and update information in the hospital system.
- Coordinate with reception, doctors, diagnostic departments, and other hospital staff.
- Handle complaints politely and escalate serious issues to the concerned department.
- Make follow-up calls to previous patients when required.
- Inform patients about health packages, preventive check-ups, or other hospital services.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Required Skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Hindi and English speaking ability; knowledge of the local language can be an advantage.
- Polite, patient, and professional telephone manner.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to use CRM/hospital software.
- Good listening and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple calls and work under pressure.
Typical Qualification
- 12th pass or graduate.
- Freshers may be considered depending on the hospital.
- Previous telecalling, customer service, healthcare, or hospital experience is an advantage.
