Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and disciplined Machine Operator to manage our monolayer blown film plant and sealing/cutting operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic film (such as LDPE, LLDPE, or HDPE), as well as operating the bag-making/sealing machinery to convert the film into finished products.
You will ensure optimal machine efficiency, minimal material wastage, and strict adherence to thickness (gauge) and sealing quality specifications.
Key Responsibilities1. Extrusion Plant Operation (Blown Film)
- Machine Setup: Set up and configure the monolayer blow film extruder based on production orders, including setting correct temperature profiles for the barrel and die zones.
- Material Feeding: Properly blend and feed raw materials (plastic granules, masterbatches, and recycling/reprocessed chips) into the hopper.
- Process Monitoring: Maintain accurate gauge control (thickness), width, and bubble stability during the extrusion process.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve common extrusion defects such as gauge variation, gels/specks, fish eyes, bubble collapse, and wrinkles.
- Winding Management: Monitor the winding unit to ensure proper roll tension and neat, even roll winding.
2. Sealing & Cutting Machine Operation
- Converting Setup: Set up the sealing and cutting machine parameters (speed, temperature, stroke, and blade depth) according to product dimensions.
- Quality Sealing: Ensure strong, leak-proof, and clean seals on the film bags/sheets. Continuous inspection of the cutting accuracy.
- Blade Maintenance: Safely adjust, sharpen, or replace cutting blades and sealing elements to prevent jagged edges or improper seals.
3. Quality Control & Maintenance
- Inspection: Regularly measure and log film thickness, width, and sealing strength using micrometers and test methods.
- Wastage Control: Actively monitor and minimize startup scrap and running waste. Separate and organize recyclable trim waste.
- Routine Maintenance: Clean the die, screw, hopper, and sealing jaws periodically. Lubricate moving parts and report major mechanical or electrical faults to the supervisor.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience operating Monolayer Blown Film Extrusion lines and automatic Sealing/Cutting machines.
- Technical Knowledge: * Good understanding of polymer behaviors (LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, and reprocessed materials).
- Familiarity with processing parameters (RPM, Melt Temperature, Die Gap, Blow-Up Ratio).
- Equipment Familiarity: Experience handling temperature controllers, corona treaters (if applicable), mechanical v-boards, and digital sealing/cutting panels.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy material rolls (when required), and work in a typical manufacturing environment.
- Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work in rotating shifts (Day/Night).
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
