Position: Senior Fabric Inspector (Textile Engineer)
Qualifications & Experience :
Experience: Minimum 4-8 year required in a relevant field, preferably in a manufacturing or plant setup.
Qualification: B.Tech in Textile Engineering or Textile Technology.
Language: English/Bengali should be good.
Sound knowledge of the 4-Point inspection system, fabric defects, and standard testing parameters.
Familiarity with export buyer requirements and quality documentation.Proficiency in MS Excel and inspection reporting.
Communication and coordination with suppliers, lab, merchandising, and cutting.

Job Description:
-Plan and conduct incoming fabric inspection lot-wise using the 4-Point System (and 10-Point where buyer-specified).
-Inspect for visual defects — holes, slubs, knots, missing/broken ends, stains, shade variation, weaving/knitting faults, and selvedge defects.
-Measure and verify GSM, fabric width, ends/picks (EPI/PPI) or wales/courses, and roll length against the packing list.
-Coordinate with the fabric lab for shrinkage, dimensional stability, colour fastness (wash, rubbing, light), pilling, and with GOTS, OEKO-TEX, and buyer-specific quality norms. .
-Verify shade continuity across rolls and lots; maintain approved shade bands and lot-to-lot consistency.
-Check fabric against buyer tech-pack, order specification, and bulk-approved standards.
-Maintain fabric inspection records, defect-point logs, and the Fabric Inspection MIS.Report defect trends, supplier performance, and rejection percentages to management periodically.
