We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and patient Art & Craft Teacher who can inspire children through engaging art and craft activities.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of different art and craft techniques and the ability to teach them in a simple, fun, and age-appropriate way through online classes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging and interactive online Art & Craft classes for children.
- Teach students a variety of drawing, painting, and craft techniques.
- Introduce age-appropriate concepts such as sketching, coloring, painting, paper crafts, origami, DIY projects, and creative design.
- Demonstrate projects step-by-step and guide students throughout the creative process.
- Encourage students to explore their imagination, creativity, and individual artistic style.
- Develop fun and age-appropriate art and craft projects based on students' skill levels.
- Introduce students to different materials, tools, textures, shapes, patterns, and artistic techniques.
- Teach basic concepts of color theory, composition, proportion, shapes, and visual expression where appropriate.
- Help students develop fine-motor skills, concentration, patience, and creative thinking.
- Adapt teaching methods according to each student's age, ability, interests, and learning pace.
- Provide positive and constructive feedback on students' artwork.
- Encourage students to confidently present and explain their creative work.
- Track student progress and provide feedback to parents when required.
- Maintain a fun, supportive, inclusive, and child-friendly online classroom environment.
- Follow SkillWing Academy's curriculum, teaching standards, and class procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, diploma, or relevant qualification in Fine Arts, Applied Arts, Design, Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong practical knowledge of art and craft techniques.
- Previous experience teaching Art & Craft, Fine Arts, or creative activities is preferred.
- Experience working with children, preferably ages 4–14.
- Ability to explain and demonstrate creative techniques clearly.
- Creative, patient, energetic, and encouraging teaching approach.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Good spoken English, particularly for communicating with international/NRI students.
- Comfortable conducting classes through Zoom, Google Meet, or similar online platforms.
- Ability to plan and prepare engaging projects for online learning.
