Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer / Technical Engineer to execute, manage, and support complex telecom, radio communication, and networking projects.
The role will involve the design, installation, configuration, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of advanced radio, telecom, networking, and SCADA systems.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in routing, switching, Layer 3 networking, radio communication systems, and telecom infrastructure, along with the ability to understand customer requirements, design suitable network solutions, prepare Bills of Material (BOM), and lead technical execution at customer sites.
The candidate will also be responsible for managing project deliverables, coordinating with customers and internal teams, resolving technical challenges, and ensuring high-quality project execution and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities1. Telecom & Radio System Installation
- Lead and execute installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of:
- Radio communication systems
- Trunked Radio Systems
- SCADA communication systems
- Multi-band radio systems
- Single-frequency repeaters
- BDA/DAS solutions
- Other mission-critical communication systems
- Perform system configuration, testing, integration, and commissioning at customer sites.
- Ensure systems are deployed according to approved technical specifications and project requirements.
2. Network Design & Engineering
- Design network infrastructure based on customer requirements and project specifications.
- Develop suitable LAN/WAN and Layer 3 network architectures for telecom and communication applications.
- Work hands-on with routing, switching, VLANs, IP addressing, Layer 3 networking, and related network technologies.
- Select appropriate networking equipment based on system requirements, performance, redundancy, scalability, and environmental considerations.
- Prepare network diagrams, technical documentation, and configuration plans.
- Identify all required hardware, accessories, licenses, and components and prepare an accurate Bill of Material (BOM).
3. Network Configuration & Troubleshooting
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, Layer 3 devices, and other network infrastructure.
- Diagnose network connectivity, routing, switching, and communication-related issues.
- Troubleshoot complex technical problems involving radio, telecom, networking, and communication systems.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive solutions.
- Support remote and on-site troubleshooting activities.
4. Project Execution & Management
- Manage technical execution of assigned telecom and networking projects.
- Plan project activities, resources, site requirements, and technical deliverables.
- Coordinate with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Monitor project timelines and ensure timely completion of installations, configurations, testing, and commissioning.
- Maintain project documentation, test reports, configuration records, and service reports.
- Ensure projects are delivered according to quality, safety, and customer requirements.
5. Customer & Site Support
- Act as a technical point of contact for customers during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
- Understand customer technical requirements and provide appropriate engineering solutions.
- Conduct site surveys and assess existing infrastructure where required.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations to customers.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through timely technical support and issue resolution.
6. Technical Leadership
- Lead technical teams during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
- Guide junior engineers and technicians on system configuration, testing, and fault diagnosis.
- Take ownership of complex technical issues and drive them toward resolution.
- Coordinate with OEMs and technology partners for advanced technical support when required.
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech / BE / Diploma / B.Sc. in Electronics & Communication, Electronics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 6–20 years of relevant experience in telecom, networking, radio communication, or communication infrastructure.
- Strong hands-on experience with routing, switching, and Layer 3 networking technologies.
- Experience in network design, configuration, troubleshooting, and implementation.
- Strong experience with telecom and communication infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience in installation, commissioning, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with radio communication systems, trunked radio, repeaters, BDA systems, or SCADA communication will be highly valuable.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and convert them into technical network designs.
- Ability to prepare network architecture, technical documentation, and Bills of Material (BOM).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and project locations as required.
