Job Summary
Recnaile Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Hardware Electronics Engineer – HOD to lead and manage the complete Hardware Electronics Engineering Department.
The HOD will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of hardware engineering activities, including product architecture, electronics design, PCB development, prototype development, testing, validation, system integration, production support, team management, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate should be a strong technical leader and people manager who can independently manage the hardware team, make critical engineering decisions, drive projects from concept to production, and work closely with management and cross-functional teams to achieve project, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
Educational Qualification
- BE / B.Tech / M.Tech in EEE, ECE, E&I, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- 6–7+ years of relevant experience in Hardware Electronics / Embedded Systems / Product Development.
- Proven experience in team leadership and department/project management.
Key Technical Responsibilities
- Lead the complete Hardware Electronics Engineering function.
- Define hardware architecture based on product and system requirements.
- Lead analog and digital circuit design.
- Review and approve schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, component selection, and technical specifications.
- Lead PCB development from design through fabrication, assembly, bring-up, and validation.
- Drive prototype hardware development and system integration.
- Lead sensor integration, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Work with microcontrollers and embedded platforms such as:
- STM32
- ESP32
- Arduino
- Raspberry Pi
- NVIDIA Jetson
- Strong understanding of:
- UART
- I2C
- SPI
- CAN
- PWM
- Experience with power electronics, battery systems, DC-DC converters, regulators, and power management.
- Lead hardware-software and firmware integration.
- Drive hardware debugging using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, power supplies, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Ensure hardware designs meet required performance, reliability, safety, manufacturability, and cost targets.
- Support EMI/EMC, signal integrity, grounding, thermal, and reliability considerations.
End-to-End Project Ownership
The HOD will be responsible for the complete hardware development lifecycle:
Requirement Analysis → System Architecture → Hardware Design → Component Selection → Schematic → PCB Design → Prototype → Bring-Up → Debugging → Testing → Validation → System Integration → Production Release → Production Support
Responsibilities include:
- Understand customer and internal product requirements.
- Define technical specifications and development plans.
- Estimate resources, timelines, and technical requirements.
- Assign project responsibilities to the engineering team.
- Monitor development milestones and project progress.
- Identify technical risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Lead design reviews and technical decision-making.
- Ensure timely completion of prototypes and validation.
- Drive successful transition from R&D prototype to production.
- Resolve critical technical and engineering issues.
- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timeline, cost, quality, and performance requirements.
Department & Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Hardware Electronics Engineering Team.
- Plan manpower requirements and identify skill gaps.
- Allocate responsibilities based on project requirements and individual capabilities.
- Set technical and performance objectives for team members.
- Conduct regular technical reviews and team meetings.
- Mentor engineers in circuit design, PCB development, debugging, testing, and system integration.
- Build strong engineering processes and a high-performance technical team.
- Monitor individual and team performance.
- Support recruitment and technical evaluation of hardware engineers.
- Create training and skill-development plans for the team.

The HOD will ensure effective coordination between departments and timely resolution of cross-functional issues.
Production & Manufacturing Support
- Lead the transition of hardware designs from prototype to production.
- Work with manufacturing teams to improve Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Resolve production-related hardware issues.
- Support PCB assembly, rework, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Improve product reliability and manufacturability.
- Drive engineering changes and design improvements.
- Work with vendors for PCB, electronic components, and manufacturing requirements.
- Evaluate alternate components based on cost, availability, quality, and performance.
Department Planning & Management
- Prepare annual and project-level hardware development plans.
- Define department priorities and engineering roadmaps.
- Plan manpower, equipment, tools, and infrastructure requirements.
- Support departmental budgeting and resource planning.
- Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and engineering KPIs.
- Establish standard processes for design, testing, documentation, and validation.
- Drive Kaizen, cost reduction, reliability improvement, and engineering process improvement.
- Ensure proper engineering documentation and revision control.

Ensure engineering activities follow appropriate quality and documentation standards.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
