Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth across our Study Abroad, Internship, and Work Abroad divisions. The role focuses on generating new business, building strategic partnerships, and expanding VIS's presence across India through strong networking, field visits, and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Identify and generate new B2B and B2C business opportunities across Study Abroad, Internship, and Work Abroad verticals.
- Build a strong pipeline of schools, colleges, universities, coaching institutes, training centers, corporates, HR consultants, and recruitment agencies.
- Develop referral partnerships and strategic alliances to increase business opportunities.
- Explore new cities, regions, and markets for expansion.
Partnership Development
- Build long-term relationships with educational institutions, universities, vocational institutes, NGOs, skill development centers, and corporate organizations.
- Develop partnerships with overseas recruitment agencies and international education partners. Coordinate MoUs(agreements).
- Maintain strong relationships with existing partners and identify opportunities for business expansion.
Lead Generation & Marketing Support
- Generate quality leads through seminars, workshops, webinars, exhibitions, education fairs, networking events, and corporate presentations. And collaborate with the Marketing Team to execute lead generation campaigns.
- Support digital marketing initiatives by providing market insights and feedback & Develop innovative local marketing strategies
Client Relationship Management
- Conduct business meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations & recommend suitable international programs.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, presentations, and commercial agreements. Negotiate commercial terms and successfully close business opportunities.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with the Study Abroad Manager and Work Abroad Manager to ensure seamless lead handover and business execution.
- Coordinate with Operations, Marketing, HR, and Documentation teams for smooth project implementation.
- Ensure excellent client experience throughout the business lifecycle.
Market Research & Reporting
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing strategies, and emerging international education opportunities.
- Maintain an updated CRM with all leads, meetings, opportunities, and follow-up activities. Prepare weekly and monthly business development reports for senior management.
- Track KPIs, revenue performance, partnership growth, and conversion.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, Sales, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification will be an added advtg.
Experience
- 6–8 years of experience in Business Development, Institutional Sales, B2B Sales, Corporate Sales, or Strategic Partnerships.
- Experience in International Education, Study Abroad, Internship Abroad, Work Abroad, Recruitment, Immigration, HR Consulting, or Workforce Mobility will be highly preferred.
- Proven experience in achieving sales targets and developing business partnerships. Strong network within educational institutions, corporate organizations, and recruitment agencies is an advantage.
