We work asset-light — sourcing from a hand-picked network of India's finest workshops and bringing a maker's eye to quality, curation and reliability. We're building the range and the team for our next chapter, and we're looking for someone who can help shape both.
The Role
We're seeking a Merchandiser cum Designer who can own the product from concept to shipment. This is a hands-on, dual role: you'll design and curate our seasonal ranges of scarves, shawls, pashmina and resort wear , and manage the merchandising and vendor side that turns those designs into export-ready orders. It suits someone who loves both the creative and the commercial, and wants real ownership rather than a narrow brief.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Product Development
- Design and develop seasonal collections of scarves, shawls, stoles and resort wear, keeping an eye on international trends, colours and fabrics
- Create prints, patterns, colourways and artwork; prepare tech packs and specifications for vendors
- Build a curated, market-appropriate range rather than an oversized catalogue
- Develop and manage samples through to buyer approval
Merchandising & Sourcing
- Source fabrics, trims and finished product from our vendor network; identify and onboard new vendors
- Prepare and maintain costings, BOMs and price sheets; support margin discipline
- Manage the critical path from order to delivery — sampling, production follow-up, quality checkpoints, dispatch timelines
- Coordinate quality control against agreed standards before shipment
- Maintain product data, line sheets and catalogues for our export markets
What We're Looking For
- [2–5+] years' experience in merchandising and/or design within textiles, apparel or fashion accessories — export experience strongly preferred
- A qualification in textile/fashion design or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong design sensibility: prints, colour, fabric, and an eye for what international buyers want
- Working knowledge of scarf/shawl fabrics and construction (silk, viscose, wool, cotton, pashmina blends is a plus)
- Comfortable with design tools (Adobe Illustrator / Google Gemini or similar) and confident with Excel for costings and specs
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple vendors and timelines at once
- Good communication skills for working with overseas buyers and Indian vendors
Nice to Have
- Experience with export documentation and processes
- Exposure to European or Gulf market preferences
- Understanding of textile compliance (labelling, fibre content)
