Job Opening: SolidWorks Designer – Modular Furniture & Interior Products
We are looking for a skilled SolidWorks Designer to join our team and help build a library of parametric models for modular kitchens, wardrobes, and custom furniture.
This is a long-term role focused on creating manufacturing-ready models that generate accurate drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and cutting lists.
Responsibilities
- Create parametric SolidWorks models for kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, TV units, vanities, and other furniture.
- Develop reusable master models that can be modified by changing dimensions and configurations.
- Generate accurate manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and cutting lists.
- Build assemblies with proper design intent and consistent modeling practices.
- Standardize product libraries, materials, and hardware.
- Work closely with our production team to ensure models reflect real manufacturing methods.
- Continuously improve and expand our library of modular furniture designs.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Experience in modular furniture, kitchen, wardrobe, or woodworking design.
- Good understanding of plywood, MDF, laminates, edge banding, and furniture hardware.
- Experience creating parametric models, assemblies, configurations, and design tables.
- Ability to produce production-ready drawings and BOMs.
- Strong attention to detail and manufacturing accuracy.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of cabinet construction methods.
- Familiarity with CNC manufacturing workflows.
- Experience with SolidWorks API or automation is an advantage but not required.
