We are an established clothing brand with a proud legacy of over 10 years in the textile and fashion industry in Perinthalmanna. Known for our quality, craftsmanship, and trust, we are currently expanding our manufacturing capabilities and looking for a dynamic, highly organized Production Manager to lead our factory/production facility.
Job Summary
The Production Manager will oversee the entire manufacturing process, from fabric sourcing and cutting to stitching, quality control, and final packaging. Your primary goal is to ensure smooth, cost-effective factory operations, maintain our high standards of product quality, and meet strict delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Execution
- Plan and manage daily production schedules based on sales orders and seasonal demands.
- Allocate resources, machinery, and manpower efficiently to maximize output and reduce downtime.
- Monitor production timelines closely to ensure orders are dispatched on time.
2. Team Management & Leadership
- Supervise and mentor tailors, cutting masters, pattern makers, line supervisors, and packing teams.
- Manage workflow distribution across different production lines to avoid bottlenecks.
- Maintain a disciplined, safe, and productive working environment on the shop floor.
3. Quality Assurance & Material Management
- Enforce strict quality control (QC) checkpoints at every stage—from fabric checking to final finishing.
- Track raw materials, trims, and finished goods inventory to prevent shortages or wastage.
- Minimize fabric wastage and rejection rates during the cutting and production cycles.
4. Cost Control & Process Optimization
- Monitor production costs and implement strategies to improve efficiency without compromising on garment quality.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with machinery, patterns, or stitching methods quickly.
- Report weekly and monthly production metrics, efficiency rates, and yield analysis to senior management.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Degree/Diploma in Fashion Designing, Garment Technology, Apparel Production Merchandising, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of proven experience as a Production Manager or Senior Line Supervisor in a garment manufacturing unit or clothing brand.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep understanding of garment construction, pattern making, fabric types, and stitching techniques.
- Strong knowledge of industrial sewing machinery and modern apparel manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with production tracking tools or basic Excel for inventory management.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership, team management, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle tight delivery deadlines.
- Language: Fluency in Malayalam is essential for managing the floor staff; conversational English or Hindi is a strong plus.
