A garments Quality Control (QC) inspector checks raw materials, monitors the production line, and inspects finished clothes to make sure they match buyer requirements and brand standards. They catch sewing flaws, bad measurements, and fabric defects early.
Pre-Production Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming fabric and trims like buttons and zippers.
- Check pre-production and size-set samples against approved buyer specs.
- Review patterns and markers before cutting starts.
- Join pre-production meetings to brief teams on quality targets.
In-Line (During Production) Responsibilities
- Check cut panels for flaws or shade variations.
- Monitor sewing lines continuously to catch stitching errors early.
- Inspect measurements, symmetry, and label placement on stitched pieces.
- Report machine issues or repeating defects to the line supervisor right away.
Finishing and Final Inspection Responsibilities
- Check packed clothes for stains, loose threads, and iron quality.
- Verify carton contents, barcodes, and final packing methods.
- Perform final random checks using standard Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) rules.
- Sign off on approved lots or reject faulty batches for rework.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
