About the Role Evaluate, redesign, and integrate Linux infrastructure into standard systems, identifying architectural flaws and proposing solutions. The role involves designing and implementing infrastructure-as-code, ensuring security and compliance, and collaborating with various teams. Success is measured by high availability, reliability, and adherence to security principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and redesign Linux infrastructure from acquired companies into standard systems
- Identify and propose solutions for architectural flaws in existing systems
- Design golden image pipelines with security hardening using Packer, Kickstart, and PXE
- Build infrastructure-as-code using Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef
- Migrate legacy configurations into modern automation frameworks
- Apply security principles to system design, including least privilege and defense in depth
- Design and enforce compliance-as-code drift detection and automated remediation
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement optimizations
- Conduct capacity planning and performance engineering across computer, storage, and network layers
- Maintain Git-based workflows for infrastructure changes and build CI/CD pipelines
Requirements
- Experience with Linux infrastructure integration and redesign
- Knowledge of security principles, including least privilege and defense in depth
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows
- Understanding of compliance-as-code and automated remediation
- Experience with performance monitoring and troubleshooting
- Ability to collaborate with development, networking, security, and other IT teams
