About this opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise database environments. The role is primarily focused on Oracle databases, with secondary responsibilities supporting PostgreSQL and Couchbase. You will ensure database availability, security, performance, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support mission-critical applications.
What you will do:

Administer Oracle databases (10g, 11g, 12c, 18c, 19c) in standalone and RAC environments.

Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle databases.

Perform database performance tuning, SQL optimization, and execution plan analysis.

Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and clustering technologies.

Implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, including point-in-time recovery and disaster recovery.

Monitor database health, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure high availability.

Manage database security, users, roles, privileges, partitioning, indexing, and storage.

Support Oracle GoldenGate, XStream, replication, archive log management, and DR synchronization.

Raise Oracle MOS Service Requests and troubleshoot Clusterware, ASM, and listener issues.

Administer PostgreSQL databases, including performance tuning, replication, backup, upgrades, patching, security, and failover testing.

Support Couchbase database administration and operational activities.

Develop automation scripts, maintain documentation, and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Participate in 24x7 production support, including shift and weekend rotations when required.
The skills you bring:

Oracle Certified Professional (OCP 11g/12c) preferred.

Strong experience with Oracle Database administration across versions 10g–19c.

Hands-on expertise with Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and Oracle database upgrades.

Strong knowledge of SQL performance tuning, partitioning, indexing, and physical database design.

Experience managing large enterprise databases and implementing backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.

Knowledge of Oracle patch management, security, and high availability architectures.

Experience with Linux/UNIX, Windows, Solaris, or AIX, including performance monitoring tools such as top, topas, sar, and vmstat.

Hands-on PostgreSQL administration, including replication, indexing, performance tuning, backup/recovery, upgrades, and EnterpriseDB (EDB)/PEM.

Basic to intermediate experience administering Couchbase databases.

Experience with scripting and automation in Linux/UNIX environments.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production support environment and manage multiple priorities.
