We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) with experience in the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth while building long-term relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical sector.
- Generate leads and convert them into long-term business partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, distributors, hospitals, healthcare institutions, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities.
- Prepare business proposals, presentations, and commercial quotations.
- Negotiate contracts and close business deals while ensuring profitability.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including operations, regulatory, and supply chain, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual business development targets.
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, conferences, and client meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 3–8 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Key Account Management within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market, products, and industry regulations.
- Proven experience in client acquisition and revenue generation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and business development activities, as required.
Preferred Candidate
- Experience in B2B pharmaceutical sales or contract manufacturing (CDMO/CMO), APIs, formulations, or healthcare business development will be an added advantage.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently.
