Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and service-oriented Restaurant Captain to oversee daily floor operations, ensure excellent guest experiences, and lead the service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining service standards, coordinating with kitchen and bar teams, handling guest concerns, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations during shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle guest queries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
- Ensure service standards are consistently maintained across all dining areas.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and take corrective action when required.
- Lead, guide, and motivate stewards and service associates during shifts.
- Welcome and engage with guests to ensure a memorable dining experience.
- Conduct daily briefings and communicate operational updates.
- Allocate sections and responsibilities to team members.
- Ensure grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards are maintained.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely service.
- Monitor table turnover and seating arrangements.
- Ensure accurate order taking and service execution.
- Assist in opening and closing procedures of the restaurant.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations.
- Promote menu specials, seasonal offerings, and beverages.
- Encourage upselling and cross-selling to enhance guest experience and revenue.
- Monitor average spend per guest and support sales targets.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs and service standards.
- Maintain proper handling of restaurant equipment and assets.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate or Diploma in Hotel Management preferred.
- 2 - 5 years of experience in restaurant service, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Experience in casual dining, premium dining, lounge, pub, or hospitality establishments preferred.
