ABOUT NSI (INDIA) LIMITED
NSI (India) Limited has been casting iron since 1981. From our foundries we ship close to 2,500 tonnes a month of grey iron, ductile iron, fabricated steel and plastic products - municipal and construction castings, counterweights, tractor weights, roller rings and flywheels - to buyers across the USA, UK, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Australia, the UAE, Bahrain and Qatar. We manufacture to ASTM and EN 124 standards under a BS EN ISO 9001 quality system, and we are a Government-recognised Star Export House and an EEPC Export Excellence Award winner.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is the senior-most accounts role below the Director/CFO. You will own the integrity of our books, the accuracy of our product costing, and the timeliness of our export realisations and statutory compliance. The finance function here is not back-office bookkeeping - it sits at the intersection of foundry costing, export incentives and multi-currency treasury, and we are looking for someone who can own all three. You will lead a 4-6 member accounts team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting and financial reporting
Own the complete accounting cycle and drive a disciplined monthly, quarterly and annual close.
Finalise standalone financial statements under Ind AS / Indian GAAP and Schedule III of the Companies Act, 2013.
Maintain fixed asset registers, depreciation schedules and capitalisation of plant and machinery.
Design and enforce internal financial controls, and close audit observations to conclusion.
Costing and manufacturing finance
Own product-wise and heat-wise costing across grey iron, ductile iron and fabricated steel lines.
Track metal yield, sand and scrap reconciliation, rejection accounting and melting and moulding overhead absorption.
Run standard-versus-actual variance analysis and present actionable margin insights to the plant and management.
Value inventory (raw material, WIP, finished goods, stores and spares) and lead periodic physical verification.
Support the statutory Cost Audit and maintain cost records as required.
Export finance and incentives
Manage realisation of export proceeds - FIRC, eBRC and closure of outstanding shipping bills on ICEGATE and DGFT portals.
Claim and reconcile export benefits: RoDTEP, Duty Drawback, Advance Authorisation and EPCG, including tracking and fulfilment of export obligations.
Handle GST on zero-rated supplies - LUT filings, refund claims of accumulated ITC, and follow-through with the department.
Monitor foreign currency exposure and work with bankers on forward cover and hedging decisions.
Maintain Star Export House documentation and RBI and FEMA compliance.
Statutory compliance and audit
Ensure timely and accurate compliance across GST, TDS and TCS, Income Tax, PF, ESI and Professional Tax.
Act as the primary liaison for statutory, internal, tax and cost auditors.
Manage assessments, notices, departmental queries and appeals with our consultants.
Oversee ROC filings and Companies Act support in coordination with the Company Secretary.
Treasury, working capital and MIS
Manage banking relationships and working capital facilities - CC and OD, packing credit (EPC and PCFC), bill discounting, LC and BG.
Prepare stock statements, drawing power calculations, QIS returns and annual renewal and CMA data.
Drive receivables control across export and domestic buyers, and manage the vendor payment cycle.
Build the annual budget, rolling cash flow forecasts and a monthly MIS pack for management.
Systems and team
Own the accounting ERP - master data, workflows and the accuracy of what comes out of it.
Identify and implement automation and process improvements that shorten the close.
Lead, review and develop the accounts team.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
