Role Purpose
Own the end-to-end supply chain for the Fuze programme (40×46mm and 155mm PDM 557 SM). Manage existing Bangalore supplier base (AB Autocomp, GM Hitech, Sai Springs, Yuvignesh Plastics) and develop a parallel Coimbatore supplier network for dual-source security. Ensure on-time delivery of all 43+ components to Inticore's assembly line.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all fuze component suppliers — AB Autocomp, GM Hitech, Sai Springs, Yuvignesh Plastics and others
- Execute dual-source strategy: identify, evaluate, and qualify a second source for every component
- Develop Coimbatore-based alternate suppliers for key fuze parts (machining, sheet metal, springs, rubber)
- Drive RFQ, commercial negotiation, and purchase order release in co-ordination with Varun / Finance
- Track and manage delivery schedules; escalate risks proactively to Preetham
- Co-ordinate NABL testing of incoming raw materials with SQA team
- Manage SC Executive (Coimbatore) and SC Executive (Bangalore) — assign daily tasks, review performance
- Maintain supplier scorecards: OTD, quality, responsiveness
- Support incoming inspection logistics — plan delivery of parts to the correct inspection and assembly area
- Develop and maintain the fuze component cost database; drive cost reduction initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
Education
B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering MBA in Supply Chain / Operations is a plus
Experience
6–10 years in supply chain, with 2+ years managing a team

Good to Have
- 6+ years in supply chain / procurement in precision engineering or electronics manufacturing
- Experience managing multi-location supplier bases (preferably Bangalore + one other city)
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand machining, sheet metal, spring, and plastic injection processes
- Experience with dual-source qualification processes
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Proficiency with purchase order and ERP tools (Tally / SAP / any ERP)
- Prior experience in defence component sourcing
- Knowledge of NABL testing requirements for metallic materials
- Understanding of clockwork / precision gear mechanism components
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- On-time delivery (OTD) from suppliers: >95%
- Dual source qualification: 100% of parts qualified within 6 months
- Coimbatore alternate source: minimum 8 parts sourced locally within 6 months
- Cost variance vs target: within ±5%
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
