Job Title: Barista
Department: Food & Beverage Operations
Reports To: Café Manager / Restaurant Manager
Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and customer-focused Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, tea, and specialty beverages while delivering excellent customer service. The Barista will ensure consistency in beverage preparation, maintain cleanliness standards, and contribute to creating a welcoming and enjoyable guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and specialty beverages according to company recipes and quality standards.
· Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewing equipment, and other café machinery efficiently.
· Ensure consistency in beverage taste, presentation, and quality.
· Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing customer inquiries.
· Recommend beverages and menu items based on customer preferences.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café counter, beverage station, and seating areas.
· Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, tea, milk, syrups, and other supplies and report replenishment requirements.
· Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
· Handle cash transactions and POS systems accurately, if required.
· Assist in opening and closing duties, including equipment cleaning and inventory checks.
· Support team members during peak hours to ensure smooth operations.
· Stay updated on coffee trends, brewing techniques, and product knowledge.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent; certification in Barista Training or Hospitality is preferred.
· Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Barista or in a café/restaurant environment.
· Knowledge of coffee preparation methods, espresso-based beverages, and tea brewing techniques.
· Strong customer service and communication skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
· Good understanding of hygiene, food safety, and workplace cleanliness.
· Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
