Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Server Support Engineer to join our Cochin team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Windows Server administration and will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the company’s server infrastructure and related IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Expertise
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (2012, 2016, 2019).
- Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Oversee server performance, backups, and patch management.
- Ensure server security compliance, including antivirus and system updates.
- Support network operations, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLAN configurations.
- Diagnose and resolve server and system-related issues promptly.
- Coordinate with the IT team for infrastructure upgrades and improvements.
- Flexibility to work night shifts as required to support international operations.
Communication & Collaboration
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external clients.
Additional Skills (Preferred)
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Microsoft Azure).
- Scripting and automation knowledge (PowerShell or similar) is a plus.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Windows Server administration or server infrastructure management.

o Proficiency in Windows Server operating systems (2012, 2016, 2019).
- In-depth knowledge of desktop hardware and operating systems, including Windows 10 and 11.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Good understanding of security best practices, including patch management and anti-virus management.
- Good troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve desktop and server issues.
- Flexibility to work night shifts as required
- Communication:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and team members
· Additional Skills:
- Expertise in virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and VMware.
- Certifications in AWS or Azure are beneficial.
Qualifications/Experience:
o Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
o At least 2 years of experience in Windows Server administration.
