Role Summary
The QA Architect will define and drive the Quality Engineering strategy across products and platforms. The role is responsible for establishing test architecture, automation frameworks, API testing standards, performance testing practices, and CI/CD quality gates to ensure high-quality, scalable, and compliant software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and govern Quality Engineering standards, frameworks, and best practices.
- Design and drive automation, API, performance, and security testing strategies.
- Establish quality gates and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Define test data, environment, and release validation approaches.
- Conduct quality reviews, risk assessments, and defect trend analysis.
- Mentor QA teams and provide technical leadership on testing solutions.
- Evaluate and standardize testing tools, frameworks, and processes.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and DevOps teams to embed quality throughout the SDLC.
Must-Have Skills
- Experience designing and governing test automation frameworks.
- Strong expertise in API testing and API automation.
- Experience defining Quality Engineering strategies, standards, and governance models.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Rest Assured, or equivalent automation tools.
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and integration testing.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in SQL and database validation.
- Experience in risk-based testing, defect prevention, and release quality assessment.
- Strong stakeholder management, mentoring, and technical leadership skills.
- Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
- AI-assisted test automation and intelligent test selection.
- Service virtualization and contract testing.
- Security testing knowledge and DevSecOps practices.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native testing experience.
- Accessibility testing.
- Banking payment systems and ISO 20022 knowledge.
- ISTQB Advanced/Test Architect or equivalent certifications.
