Job Description:
Expert in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records through detailed reconciliation of bank statements with the company’s financial records
Deep understanding of accounting principles and practices
Exposure to US accounting
Proficient in implementing best practices in bank reconciliation procedures
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform regular and thorough reconciliation of bank statements with internal financial records.
Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Verify and reconcile all bank transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and fees.
Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
Research and resolve any discrepancies identified during the reconciliation process.
Liaise with bank representatives and internal departments to clarify and correct issues.
Prepare detailed reconciliation reports for management review.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date reconciliation documentation and records.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Work closely with other finance team members to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification in accounting is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on bank reconciliation.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
