Key Responsibilities:
· Code Compliance & Documentation: Provide expert interpretation and ensure strict adherence to international standards like ISO, ASME, ASTM, API & AWS.
· Welding & NDT Oversight: Review and approve WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications) and PQR (Procedure Qualification Records). Validate NDT techniques such as RT, UT, and PT as per project requirements.
· Stage-wise Inspection: Lead critical stage inspections, from raw material verification and plate layout to final pressure testing (Hydro/Pneumatic) and surface treatment.
· Quality Planning: Develop project-specific Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs) and Procedures to meet contractual expectations.
· Root Cause & CAPA: Investigate shop-floor non-conformances and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
· Client & Vendor Management: Manage pre-inspection meetings and witness activities with clients and third-party agencies.
Required Qualifications
· Education: Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy.
· Technical Skills:
o Strong command of welding metallurgy and defect mechanisms.
o Proficiency in reading complex fabrication drawings and GAD & P&ID.
o Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools.
· Certifications (Mandatory):
o ASNT NDT Level II in major methods (RT, UT, MT, PT) is mandatory.
