Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team while completing electrical work efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Install and terminate cables, wiring, conduits, switches, sockets, lighting, distribution boards, and electrical panels.
- Perform electrical testing, inspections, and fault finding.
- Diagnose electrical problems and carry out appropriate repairs.
- Install and maintain power distribution and lighting systems.
- Ensure electrical installations are completed according to approved drawings and applicable standards.
- Use electrical testing equipment safely and accurately.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
- Identify potential electrical hazards and take appropriate corrective action.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, contractors, and other trades as required.
- Complete work within project schedules and maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Keep accurate records of completed work, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Follow all company health and safety policies and electrical safety procedures.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrician in construction, commercial, industrial, or maintenance environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
- Good knowledge of electrical safety procedures and relevant standards.
- Ability to use electrical tools and testing equipment effectively.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Electrical trade qualification, diploma, or relevant certification preferred.
- Valid electrical license or certification, where required, is an advantage.

Experience
2+ years of relevant electrical experience preferred, with demonstrated ability to carry out electrical installation, maintenance, testing, and repair work safely and efficiently.
