About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished academic leader to serve as Dean – CODE and lead the institution's digital, technology, computing, and emerging technology education initiatives.
The Dean will be responsible for academic strategy, program development, industry partnerships, research, innovation, faculty development, and student outcomes across computing and digital technology disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and academic leadership for CODE.
- Develop and strengthen programs in Computer Science, Information Technology, AI/ML, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Software Engineering, and emerging technologies.
- Design industry-relevant curricula aligned with current technology trends.
- Establish partnerships with technology companies, startups, research organizations, and industry experts.
- Drive research and innovation in emerging technologies.
- Promote industry certifications, internships, live projects, hackathons, and experiential learning.
- Lead faculty recruitment, mentoring, development, and performance management.
- Strengthen student placements and employability initiatives.
- Establish technology labs, innovation centres, incubation initiatives, and advanced learning infrastructure.
- Drive national and international academic collaborations.
- Lead accreditation, academic quality, rankings, and institutional development activities.
- Manage budgets, infrastructure, academic resources, and operational requirements.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Strong academic and research credentials.
- Significant experience in higher education and academic leadership.
- Strong understanding of emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Experience in research, consultancy, funded projects, and industry collaboration preferred.
- Experience in accreditation and institutional administration will be an advantage.
