Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Team Leader to lead our Business Consulting & Business Development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving team performance, achieving revenue targets, mentoring consultants, and ensuring a consultative approach to client acquisition.
This is a leadership role that requires a balance of sales expertise, business consulting knowledge, coaching ability, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities1. Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Business Consultants/BDAs.
- Monitor daily productivity, sales activities, and conversion ratios.
- Allocate leads effectively and ensure timely follow-ups.
- Conduct regular one-on-one sessions, team meetings, and performance reviews.
- Develop action plans to improve individual and team performance.
2. Revenue & Target Management
- Drive the team to consistently achieve monthly revenue and conversion targets.
- Track key sales metrics and ensure target accomplishment.
- Identify performance gaps and implement corrective strategies.
- Take ownership of overall team productivity and business growth.
3. Business Consulting & Client Engagement
- Guide startup founders, MSMEs, and business owners by understanding their business models and growth challenges.
- Recommend suitable government schemes, funding opportunities, and business consulting services.
- Handle high-value client interactions and assist the team in closing strategic deals.
- Position StartupFlora as a trusted business growth partner.
4. Sales Strategy & Process Improvement
- Develop effective sales strategies to improve lead conversion.
- Ensure adherence to the complete consultative sales process.
- Maintain sales discipline through CRM updates and pipeline management.
- Analyze sales reports and recommend improvements for better performance.
5. Training & Team Development
- Conduct onboarding and product training for new team members.
- Coach the team on objection handling, negotiation, consultative selling, and closing techniques.
- Share market insights and best practices to improve team effectiveness.
- Build a high-performance and growth-oriented sales culture.
6. CRM & Reporting
- Ensure accurate CRM updates and lead tracking.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
- Share business insights and sales forecasts with management.
- Maintain high standards of documentation and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in Business Development, Consultative Sales, Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, or Business Consulting.
- Minimum 1 year of team handling experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of sales funnels, customer lifecycle, and CRM tools.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
