Primary purpose of the role:
Assisting operations team with airfreight imports and export files accordingly, such as booking of truckers, booking with airlines, registering shipments on the system, issuing draft documents.
Capture and invoice necessary charges to clients and agents accordingly.
Liaise with agents, imports and exporters based on each shipment and ensure the applicable customer service standard is kept at all times.
Assist operations team and Airfreight Supervisor where needed. Understand the customer’s business needs & educate where needed. Build good and sustainable relationships with customers. This is a remote work position.
Key Accountabilities:
- Monitor Air import group emails and action accordingly
- Monitor Marcus (or anyone doing import)desk for the time being on daily basis as a live audit.
- Audit new jobs and change Invoice status to JRC once operational task is done and everything is saved on the eDocs (Sam to action imports)
- Register and maintain regular status of Import & Export Shipments in the Company’s system.
- Coordinate Import/Export Shipment Operations and Documentations with overseas agents and local Canadian 3rd parties on daily basis and meet the deadlines where applicable.
- Cooperate closely with 1UP global offices, overseas agents and service providers to Identify optimal solutions for the clients’ requirements and deliver the best possible service to the customers while protecting the integrity of 1UP business.
- Review, Analyze and post Accounts Payable per Shipment on a timely manner.
- Also find opportunities to minimize the cost and find opportunities to maximize revenue while ensuring clients’ requirements are met.
- Review, Analyze and post Accounts Receivable per shipment on a timely manner.
- Address and communicate to customers and agents any shipping issues and/or delays proactively.
- Responsible for the month end closing of assigned shipments.
- Responsible for all root cause analysis to achieve required KPI’s and create ideas to improve the existing process.
- Provide excellent and timely customer service, under the direct supervision and advice of the department Manager.
- Costing and quoting agents and clients if additional services are requested.
- working closely with other departments in the company to make the customer’s experience seamless.
- Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned by management.

Experience:
