Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, customer-friendly, and detail-oriented Restaurant Cashier to manage billing operations and provide excellent customer service. The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling cash, digital payments, and POS systems while ensuring accurate billing and smooth front-desk operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide excellent customer service.
- Generate accurate bills using the POS system.
- Handle cash, UPI, card, and other digital payment transactions.
- Maintain the cash counter and ensure accurate cash reconciliation at the end of each shift.
- Issue receipts and process refunds or cancellations as per company policy.
- Coordinate with the service and kitchen teams to ensure smooth order processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier counter.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding bills and payment methods.
- Report any billing discrepancies or system issues to the Restaurant Manager.
- Follow company policies on cash handling, security, and confidentiality.
Requirements
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Cashier, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of POS billing systems and basic computer skills.
- Good mathematical and cash-handling skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel is an added advantage.
