Restaurant Chef
Job Title: Restaurant Chef (Head Chef / Executive Chef)
Location: Kottayam, Kerala
Salary: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications (Salary can be negotiated based on experience and performance.)
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and supervise the production of high-quality food.
- Design and update menus based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
- Lead and train the kitchen team, including Commi chefs and kitchen assistants.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Monitor food costs, minimize wastage, and maintain profitability.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor coordination.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Coordinate with restaurant management to improve guest satisfaction and introduce new menu offerings.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chef in a restaurant or hotel.
- Expertise in Indian, Chinese, Continental, or multi-cuisine cooking (mention specialties if applicable).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of food costing, inventory management, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Culinary certification or relevant qualifications are an added advantage.
