This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong expertise in performance optimization, C#/.NET, SQL tuning, distributed systems, observability, and performance testing. The ideal candidate will also leverage AI/LLMs and Generative AI to accelerate diagnostics, automation, and root-cause analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, investigate, debug, and resolve performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, CPU spikes, thread contention, and latency issues.
- Optimize high-scale SaaS applications using strong knowledge of the .NET/C# ecosystem.
- Analyze complex SQL queries, execution plans, database contention, and deadlocks.
- Design and implement scalable performance engineering frameworks.
- Investigate complex distributed-system issues and provide actionable recommendations to development teams.
- Build AI/LLM-based diagnostic and automation solutions for performance analysis.
- Use AI tools to analyze traces, logs, and system states for predictive recommendations and remediation.
- Model realistic, high-concurrency IAM workloads, including OAuth2/OIDC, SAML, and MFA.
- Develop Performance-as-Code test suites using K6, Gatling, or JMeter.
- Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with SRE teams on chaos engineering and resiliency testing.
- Use Generative AI to create synthetic test data and realistic user behavior models.
- Leverage AI-powered APM capabilities for automated bottleneck detection and faster RCA.
- Build and maintain telemetry and performance dashboards using Datadog, Grafana, and/or OpenTelemetry.
- Recommend architectural improvements to improve scalability, reliability, and performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, Master's degree with 3+ years, or PhD in a relevant field.
