We are looking for experienced Assistant Managers – Mechanical Design Coordination and Assistant Managers – Electrical Design Coordination to manage the design coordination function for high-rise mixed-use construction projects in Mumbai.
The selected candidates will be responsible for ensuring design excellence, statutory compliance, cost optimization, project budgeting, and seamless coordination with consultants and project stakeholders from concept to execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with MEP Consultants, PMC, Architects, and other stakeholders for effective design integration.
- Review and validate design drawings, technical specifications, calculations, and consultant submissions.
- Ensure compliance with NBC, local authority regulations, fire safety norms, and applicable standards.
- Drive value engineering initiatives for cost optimization without compromising quality.
- Resolve design-related issues during execution and provide technical support to site teams.
- Review and finalize BOQs, quantity take-offs, technical specifications, tender documents, and rate analysis.
- Prepare project budgets and update cost estimates as the design progresses.
- Monitor project costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain design documentation, approvals, revisions, and change records.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (for Mechanical Design Coordination) or Electrical Engineering (for Electrical Design Coordination).
- 5–7+ years of experience in design coordination and project budgeting within the real estate/construction industry.
- Experience in high-rise residential or mixed-use projects is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Minimum 2 years of experience using Revit for design review and coordination (modelling experience not mandatory).
- Strong coordination, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
