Position: Insurance Coordinator
Shift: 10 Hours – Day Shift
Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹25,000 per month
Job Summary
The Insurance Coordinator is responsible for handling all insurance-related processes including patient insurance verification, claim processing, coordination with insurance companies/TPAs, and ensuring timely approvals and settlements for both OP and IP patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle cashless and reimbursement insurance processes for patients.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and policy details.
- Coordinate with insurance companies and TPAs for approvals and claim status.
- Process pre-authorization and final billing documentation.
- Ensure timely submission of insurance claims and required documents.
- Follow up for approvals, queries, and claim settlements.
- Coordinate with doctors, billing team, and nursing staff for required medical documents.
- Maintain proper insurance records, reports, and documentation.
- Handle patient queries related to insurance and guide them through the process.
- Ensure compliance with hospital and insurance guidelines.
Qualification
- Any Degree (Healthcare or Hospital Administration preferred)
Experience
- 1 – 5 years of experience in hospital insurance / TPA coordination
- Experience in handling cashless claims and approvals preferred
Skills Required
- Knowledge of insurance and TPA processes
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Documentation and follow-up skills
- Ability to handle patient queries and pressure situations
