Key Responsibilities1. Patient Care Management
- Ensure high standards of patient care and safety.
- Monitor patient conditions and ensure proper nursing interventions.
- Implement doctors’ treatment plans and clinical instructions.
- Ensure proper documentation of patient records and nursing notes.
2. Staff Supervision
- Supervise and guide staff nurses, nursing assistants, and ward attendants.
- Prepare duty rosters and manage shift schedules.
- Monitor staff performance and provide training when required.
- Ensure discipline and adherence to hospital policies.
3. Clinical Operations
- Ensure proper medication administration and treatment procedures.
- Maintain infection control protocols and hygiene standards.
- Ensure availability and proper use of medical equipment.
- Coordinate with doctors during rounds and emergencies.
4. Administration & Reporting
- Maintain ward reports, patient census, and nursing documentation.
- Report incidents, patient complaints, or clinical issues to management.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
5. Inventory & Supplies
- Monitor stock of medicines, consumables, and nursing supplies.
- Ensure proper utilization and prevent wastage.
- Coordinate with pharmacy and stores for supply management.
6. Patient & Family Communication
- Communicate with patients and relatives regarding care procedures.
- Address concerns and provide emotional support when needed.
- Ensure patient satisfaction and service quality.
Experience
- 5–8 years of clinical nursing experience
- 2–3 years in supervisory or leadership role preferred
