Manage DLP policy lifecycle, governance via building DLP analytics, exemptions handling, risk analysis.
Core Responsibilities
Policy Management
Create, update, tune, and optimize DLP policies- Review effectiveness of existing policy controls
- Reduce false positives/negatives
- Maintain policy standards and naming conventions
Risk & Data Analysis
Analyze incident trends and user behavior- Identify emerging data exposure risks
- Review sensitive data movement patterns
- Recommend control improvements
Exemption & Exception Management
Review and approve/reject DLP exemption requests- Conduct risk assessments for business exceptions
- Maintain exception register and renewal tracking
- Ensure compensating controls exist where needed
Governance & Compliance
Ensure policies align with:
o Regulatory requirements
o Internal security standards
o Data classification frameworks
- Support audits and compliance evidence collection
Change Management
Validate policy changes before production deployment- Coordinate testing with business stakeholders
- Perform impact analysis for policy modifications
Collaboration
o Legal
o Compliance
o HR
o SOC
o Data owners
o IT teams
- Translate business requirements into DLP controls
Required Skills
Minimum 3 years of experience in DLP technologies- Strong understanding of Snowflake and Snowflake Intelligence is preferred for building DLP analytics capability
- Good understanding of DLP technologies, especially Microsoft Purview DLP and associated offerings like Could APPs, DSPM, DSPM for AI
- Data governance knowledge

- Stakeholder communication
- Analytical and investigative skills
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting, managing multiple tasks.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
