Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and academically strong Academic Coordinator / Vice Principal to support the Principal in the overall academic and administrative functioning of the school. The candidate will provide academic leadership, coordinate teaching and learning activities, monitor teacher performance, and ensure the effective implementation of the school curriculum and academic policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Principal in the day-to-day academic and administrative management of the school.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor the academic calendar, curriculum, and teaching schedules.
- Supervise lesson planning, classroom teaching, assessments, examinations, and academic activities.
- Monitor teacher performance through classroom observations and regular academic reviews.
- Guide teachers in improving teaching methodologies and learning outcomes.
- Coordinate examinations, assessments, result preparation, and academic reporting.
- Monitor student attendance, discipline, academic performance, and overall development.
- Organize teacher meetings, training sessions, workshops, and professional development programs.
- Coordinate with department heads, teachers, students, and parents to resolve academic concerns.
- Ensure timely completion of syllabus and effective implementation of the prescribed curriculum.
- Analyze academic data and prepare reports for school management.
- Promote innovative, technology-enabled, and student-centered teaching practices.
- Assist in maintaining discipline and a positive, safe, and professional school environment.
- Represent the school in meetings, events, and academic programs when required.
- Support the Principal in implementing school policies, procedures, and improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Education or a relevant subject.
- B.Ed. / M.Ed. or equivalent recognized qualification preferred.
- Minimum 5–8 years of teaching/academic administration experience, preferably in a reputed school.
- Prior experience as an Academic Coordinator, Head of Department, Senior Teacher, or Vice Principal will be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of school curriculum, assessment systems, and academic administration.
