About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in industrial mechanical design and 3D plant engineering. The candidate should have hands-on experience in developing detailed engineering models, fabrication drawings, piping layouts, and equipment assemblies using AutoCAD Plant 3D and Inventor/SolidWorks.
Experience in Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) design, water treatment systems, or process engineering projects will be considered a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop 3D models, layouts, and detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Create mechanical assemblies, fabrication drawings, and equipment designs using Inventor or SolidWorks.
- Prepare:
- Piping layouts
- Isometric drawings
- GA drawings
- Fabrication drawings
- Equipment arrangement drawings
- Support details and BOMs
- Coordinate with process, piping, electrical, and fabrication teams for project execution.
- Review and optimize mechanical designs for manufacturability and installation feasibility.
- Generate accurate project documentation and maintain drawing standards.
- Participate in design reviews and client coordination meetings.
- Ensure timely delivery of engineering outputs with high accuracy and quality.
- Support project execution teams with technical clarifications during manufacturing and installation stages.
Required Skills & ExpertiseMandatory Skills
- Strong proficiency in:
- AutoCAD Plant 3D
- Autodesk Inventor and/or SolidWorks
- Good understanding of:
- Mechanical design principles
- Piping systems
- Industrial layouts
- Fabrication standards
- Mechanical drafting
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and engineering drawings.
- Experience in preparing detailed manufacturing/fabrication drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) projects.
- Exposure to:
- Water treatment systems
- Process skid design
- Industrial automation integration
- Stainless steel fabrication projects
- Knowledge of international engineering standards and practices.
Experience Required
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
- Prior experience in industrial/process engineering projects preferred.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
