Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults, wiring, switches, panels, lighting fixtures, and distribution boards.
- Maintain backup power systems including DG sets, UPS systems, emergency lighting, and transfer switches.
- Ensure uninterrupted power supply to critical areas such as ICUs, OTs, emergency departments, and patient care units.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical installations and maintain maintenance records.
- Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and emergency situations.
- Assist in installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment and hospital infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with biomedical, engineering, and facility management teams for equipment-related electrical requirements.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, hospital policies, and statutory regulations.
- Monitor energy consumption and support energy-efficiency initiatives.
- Maintain a safe working environment and follow infection-control protocols within hospital premises.
Required Qualifications
- ITI Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a hospital, healthcare facility, or large commercial establishment.
