Purpose of the Role
To provide high-quality instruction in Accountancy for Senior Secondary students (Grades XI & XII), enabling them to develop strong conceptual understanding, analytical skills, financial literacy, and excellence in CBSE Board Examinations. PGT teachers are expected to guide students in higher-order thinking, examination preparedness, and career pathways in Commerce, Finance, and Business Studies.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities
- Teach Accountancy to Grades XI and XII as per the latest CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare annual academic plans, lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and revision schedules.
- Deliver concept-based and application-oriented lessons using modern pedagogical strategies.
- Teach core areas including:
- Accounting for Partnership Firms
- Company Accounts
- Financial Statement Analysis
- Accounting for Not-for-Profit Organizations
- Computerized Accounting Systems
- Conduct remedial and enrichment classes based on student performance.
- Integrate case studies, project-based learning, and real-world financial applications into classroom teaching.
- Ensure timely completion of the syllabus and board examination preparation.
Student Development
- Develop analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills among students.
- Mentor students for Commerce-related competitions, projects, and career opportunities.
- Guide students aspiring for CA, CMA, CS, B.Com, BBA, and other Commerce-related programs.
- Promote ethical financial practices and business awareness.
Assessment & Evaluation
- Design and conduct formative and summative assessments.
- Prepare question papers, answer keys, practical records, and evaluation reports.
- Analyze examination data and implement remedial strategies.
- Maintain accurate academic records and student progress documentation.
- Conduct regular revision tests and board-oriented assessments.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher meetings, and school events.
- Maintain student attendance, assessment records, and academic documentation.
- Support curriculum planning and school improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to CBSE guidelines, school policies, and academic standards.
QualificationEssential
- M.Com / Master's Degree in Commerce or Accountancy from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in CBSE Senior Secondary classes.
- Strong command over CBSE Accountancy curriculum and board examination requirements.
Preferred
- Experience as a CBSE Board Examiner or Evaluator.
- Knowledge of Financial Management, Taxation, and Computerized Accounting.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and digital learning platforms.
- Additional certifications in Finance, Accounting Software, or Commerce Education.
Skills Required

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per hour
