Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to manage the procurement of construction materials, electrical, plumbing, hardware, finishing materials, and other project-related requirements. The ideal candidate should have experience in vendor management, purchase order processing, cost negotiation, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure construction materials, equipment, and services as per project requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate the best commercial terms.
- Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up until delivery.
- Coordinate with project, store, accounts, and site teams regarding material requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid project delays.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment.
- Verify material quality, quantity, and specifications before acceptance.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor databases, and purchase documentation.
- Track pending orders and resolve supplier-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Prepare procurement reports, cost analysis, and MIS reports.
- Support cost-saving initiatives through effective negotiation and vendor management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the Real Estate or Construction industry.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of construction materials and procurement processes.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good understanding of Purchase Orders, GST invoices, and procurement documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and MS Office.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project timelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in ERP software (SAP, Oracle, or any Construction ERP).
- Knowledge of local suppliers and construction material markets.
- Experience handling multiple construction projects simultaneously.
