Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Aluva. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial transactions, including recording sales, purchases, receipts, and payments, and maintaining accurate ledgers. Responsibilities include preparing daily and monthly reconciliation of fuel sales and stock, monitoring cash and bank balances, and ensuring timely settlement of vendor and customer accounts. The role also involves preparing basic financial reports, assisting with budgeting, and supporting tax and regulatory compliance, including GST and other statutory requirements. The Accountant will collaborate closely with the station manager and operations team to ensure transparent reporting, audit readiness, and adherence to Bharat Petroleum’s financial guidelines.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, and reconciliation.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office tools (especially Excel) for data entry, reporting, and analysis.
- Understanding of taxation and regulatory requirements relevant to fuel retail operations (e.g., GST, basic statutory compliance).
- Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with operations and management teams.
- Relevant educational background such as a degree or diploma in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
- Prior experience in retail, fuel, or similar business environments is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Aluva, manage time effectively, and handle responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
