Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Sr. Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day accounting operations, with a strong focus on GST compliance and reconciliation. The ideal candidate should have sound knowledge of accounting principles, statutory compliance, and hands-on experience in handling GST filings, vendor and bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Handle end-to-end GST compliance including computation, filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C, and other statutory returns within due dates.
- Perform GST reconciliation (GSTR-2A/2B vs. purchase register) and resolve mismatches with vendors.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Carry out bank reconciliation, vendor reconciliation, and inter-company reconciliation on a regular basis.
- Prepare and maintain books of accounts, ledgers, and financial records in compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts, including MIS reporting.
- Coordinate with internal teams, auditors, and consultants for GST assessments, audits, and statutory filings.
- Monitor changes in GST law and ensure timely implementation of compliance requirements.
- Support in TDS computation, deduction, and filing of returns as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for all accounting and taxation transactions.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance; Semi-qualified CA/CMA added advantage.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounts, with strong exposure to GST compliance and reconciliation.
- Sound knowledge of GST laws, TDS provisions, and other statutory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Tally, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software, along with MS Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently, coordinate with team, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with vendors, auditors, and cross-functional teams.
